While Cory was attending a teaching conference yesterday I explored NE Alberta St. I found lots of interesting shops and restaurants to post about. The first one I will tell you about is Barista. Barista is in a deceivingly modern building which contrasts the funky rustic look of the cafe. I liked the coffee brown stain on the concrete floor, the antique newspaper rollers hanging on the wall and the huge antique drafting table used as a menu board. The coffee was delicious too. Two different flavors of espresso were being carefully crafted by a gentleman that looked a little antique himself (in attire, not age). It was a very pleasant coffee break.
